Gieselle Ann Brede Fest

UserName: Gieselle Fest City: Liberty State: MO Followers: (1)
Gieselle Ann Brede-Fest Fest is the sixth of seven generations to be native to the state of Iowa. As a child she drew and painted from a young age. Her natural talents were apparent early in her life. One of her first commissions was to paint for a local school’s booster club a 4 ft. x 8 ft. Indian Chief. During her college years she found herself in her element. She studied at University of Iowa, Wartburg College and several other colleges in Missouri. Always wanting to learn more about art, Fest still experiments with a variety of art mediums, methods and processes to this day. However, the majority of her work is done in acrylics and photography, with an occasional watercolour piece. Fest finds her inspiration from many places. She enjoys the use of vivid colors and often uses them when painting rural farm scenes from her childhood, children and of her many dachshunds. While she finds her contentment in pieces that have meaning to her life, she often finds herself wanting to help her clients find that meaning as well. This is why she enjoys sharing her gift. Many of her clients will come to her with photos of favorite places or objects that have significant meaning and want them to be recreated in their everyday lives. Fest does this for them by bringing the items to life through her artistic talent. She frequently guest instructs for several social painting companies and children venues. Her paintings have ranged from meir inches to over forty four feet long. She has painted columns, windows, walls, ceilings, floors, furniture and much more. Her creativeness is simply not limited to a canvas. Some of her pieces available for public viewing can be found at Outlaws Golf Course in Smithville, Missouri; Cosentino’s Price Chopper Grocery Store in Liberty, Missouri and at the Raasch Farms south of Liberty. Fest also co-wrote and illustrated a coloring book used to educate both English and Spanish speaking students about agriculture. The book is used by Raasch Farms during their school presentations. In 2006, Fest was recognized by NAFDMA for her accomplishments with the book and was awarded the NAFDMA National Award for her illustrations. Fest combines her skills in marketing and education with a multifaceted position responsible for overseeing daily operations and preparations of a one part Agri-Educational and the other part Agri-Tourism business. She has been responsible for many venues of social media: Facebook, Pinterest, QR codes, twitter, perisope, vine, Linkedin and others. She developed and presented both the fall / spring educational program that hosted 16,000 children and educators yearly. In 2015, Fest became a certified Grumbacher instructor with Michael's Arts and Crafts Stores. Those wishing to contact Fest can reach her at 816-509-5208 or gieselle.ann@gmail.com
